Quilts Plus is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, on the north side inside the I-465 circle.
Jeanne Moosey and a childhood friend were in the market for a new business venture and being avid quilters, decided to visit her favorite quilt shop in Indianapolis, Quilts Plus, that had been in business since 1977. Much to their surprise, they found that it was for sale and couldn't resist the temptation. That was in 1994 and they've never looked back.
Since then, they have expanded the shop from 2400 to 3600 square feet, offering a larger variety of fabric and wool. Mary and I were in awe at the imaginative wool projects and material being offered - way too hard to resist. The expansion also made room for machine quilting services.
At Quilts Plus, atmosphere is everything. It's not your average square or rectangular building. It's full of lots of nooks and crannies that make it feel all that more cozy and welcoming. Jeanne want every customer to leave happy and we can vouch for their sincerity in wanting to help. Jeanne spends more time running the store's business side, but enjoys being out with her customers - her favorite place to be, getting to know everyone.
Jeanne plans to be part of a shop hop in the fall, something they don't normally do, but will have the time now that they're cutting back on the quilt shows - leaving more time for their customers.
Having witnessed this shop and it's wonderful friendly and customer-oriented staff, we can hardly wait for a return trip to Indianapolis to visit Quilts Plus again.
So if you're traveling to Indianapolis, you'll want to visit Quilts Plus for a unique quilting experience..............and tell them Jeff and Mary sent ya.........
